Labor Day Camping Trip

Noah's goal this year is to go on more family camping trips. So for Labor Day weekend we went to Lonesome Beaver campground in the Henry Mountains.
Holden helped us by "tying" Athena up so she wouldn't get away or bother the other campers. There was only one other camper there, he was really nice and didn't mind Athena coming and visiting him. He was a geologist, and taught us about how to find dinosaur bones, he even gave one to Holden to take home.
On Saturday we went hiking. Holden did pretty well and hiked quite a bit, but he also got dad and grandpa to carry him.
Here is Holden taking a rest on a log, after a particularly difficult stretch of riding on grandpa's shoulders.
While on a 4wheeler ride Holden decided he wanted to race the 4wheeler with Athena.
We had a delicious dinner that night, Holden especially liked the corn on the cob.
Sunday it rained and rained and rained!

Holden and I cuddled up in my coat to keep dry and warm.
Here are the Henry Mountains under a beautiful sky!
We had a great weekend even if it was a little wet and windy.

Sounds like a lot of fun! I was brave of you to go out in the weather, but it looks like it was worth it.
