Dinosaurs & Arches!

Last weekend we went with Noah's family to Arches National Park. We all had a great time.
Holden is very into dinosaurs right now. Last week they learned about dinosaurs in his preschool class and I realized that he had a different dinosaur shirt to wear each day! And you all saw his Hallween costume.
In Price Utah at the College of Easter Utah, they have a dinosaur museum! So Noah looked into it and figured that if we left early on Friday we could stop at the museum for a couple hours on our way to Green River where we were staying Friday night. We didn't tell Holden in case we didn't make it, we would have been hearing about that for months! Luckily we did make it for his "Surprise" he was so excited when we pulled up and he saw the Dinosaur statues and signs out front.
Here is our little palentologist on the Utahraptor statue out front.

Here he is in the museum with the dinosaurs!

They have a cute kids area where they can dig for bones and play with all the dinosaur toys!

And here is Greta being eaten by a Utahraptor, you can't really tell in this picture but the head is sticking out of the wall. Holden is holding the Teranadon puppet under her.

Holden had a wonderful time and wants to go back, he asks us about it everyday, too bad it is over 2 hours away!

On Saturday we went to Arches. Holden and his cousin Harrison were very excited to hike but it only lasted about 100 yards then they were ready for a break, Holden probably spent 75% of the hike on Noah's sholders, little whimp!

Me and Greta. She was great for the whole hike!

After lunch we did a couple other short hikes.

Here are my little sandstone monkeys

The Gibson cousins

Sandstone arch had a great sandbox to play in I think Holden and Harrison were more excited about that then the arch.

And no trip to Green River would be complete without dinner at Ray's the best burgers in Utah!
