Here are a few things that happened around here in January.
One day I told Greta she had enough hair to put in sponge curlers, well that night she had to take a bath so we could put them in. She was pretty excited about it until she laid down to go to sleep! Then she decided they were not so great and took them all out, which made her sad so I had to put them back in. She eventually fell asleep, and she looked so cute the next day, but we didn't get any pictures of that. The next time we put them in after her morning bath and her fine hair was dry before preschool a couple hours later!
Oliver is big enough for the highchair now. He loves it, he is very excited about eating real food. He loves his cereal with juice in the mornings, but the veggies later in the day are not his favorite. He eats them, but the first bite he always makes a face, telling us that was not what he was expecting!Oliver is our first kid to almost have stitches! One morning while everyone was getting ready for school, he was rolling around and found the cords behind the entertainment center and pulled the antenna down onto his head. Noah calmed him down, and he was ready to play, but Noah thought it looked pretty deep, so he took him to the Dr. who put Dermabond on to keep it together. The whole thing was very traumatic to mom(who was at work) and dad, but Oliver doesn't seem to be affected by it.
This week it has been snowing and snowing and snowing!!! Noah built a sled hill in our back yard from the snow he shoveled off the driveway. Here are the kids enjoying dad's hard work! Greta had a great time even after Holden had to come in to do his homework, she kept sledding and belly sliding down the hill.
Holden also started snowboarding lessons this month. He was supposed to have another kid in the class with him but she has been moved to a lower level, so he has a private lesson! His teacher says his is starting to do S turns, and has been getting better at toe side.
Oliver is rolling everywhere!! He also can sit up on his own now, which is great but not as fun as moving! This week he has started getting up onto his knees, he will be crawling before we know it.
Greta has moved into her new room, and we are slowly getting it all decorated, I will post pictures once we get everything put together, it looks so cute and it has been such fun to decorate a girl room.
