Holden's Last day of Preschool!

HI all,

Holden's last day of Preschool was Wednesday the 26th! I can't believe my little boy is done with preschool and will be starting Kindergarten in the fall.

For the last day of school they have been planning an end of the year water party, which would have been great if this wasn't what the weather was like on Monday

But luckily it warmed up and was about 70 deg the next day. On Wednesday it was overcast but still warm.

We had a fun lunch, then the preschoolers did a little program and received their diplomas. Then it was time for the sprinklers! In the ciaos of figuring out which sprinklers were going to stay on, (the custodian was having a hard time) Holden and his preschool friend Noah (not his dad!) ran into each other. As Holden explains it now, "Noah's hard head hit Holden's soft eye." When he came over to me he had a bright blue crescent moon shaped bruise next to his eye. We tried to keep ice on it, but that is next to impossible when there are sprinklers to run through. This is what it looked like later that day.

I feel so bad and am kind of embarrassed to take him out in public, especially when I say that he bumped into Noah, I have to be sure to explain it was his friend not his dad! Holden assures me it does not hurt, and it hasn't slowed him down at all. What a great souvenir from Preschool.
